Oregon Sand Dunes

On their way back to Arizona, Spenser's family decided that they like to stop by the Oregon sand dunes. They left in the early hours of the morning so that they could drive down the Pacific Coast highway and stop off at Tilamook, Oregon which is famous for it's cheese and ice cream. Nadia, never having been one for unnecessary early starts, decided that we would just leave when we were ready and drive down the freeway. Not as pretty a drive to be sure but how much of the ocean and tree lined roads do you really need to see?!
Needless to say after 5 hours in the car we arrived to be met at the exact same time by everyone else who had left 7 hours prior to us. When Nadia asked her niece Megan if she felt it had been worthwhile. She was dubious to say the least, although she was happy that she got to stop off for some dairy products on the way to which Nadia quickly replied, "Well, they sell Tilamook cheese and ice cream at Fred Meyer you know. I could have saved you the trip." Grandpa Kent didn't think that was all together too helpful!

When all was said and done though, the kids had a lot of fun together at the beach.
