BYU Basketball

When we found out that the BYU basketball team would be playing the Portland Timbers we made sure to get some tickets. Olivia was just a little disapointed that she wouldn't get to see Jimmer, but Noah Hartsock is pretty close to her heart. Zach was actually pretty sick with Brinchitis and an ear infection and so I felt bad taking him, but I didn't want for anyone to miss out. We made sure to give him some tylenol and he slept on the drive down which helped.

We stopped for a quick dinner at Elephant's Deli before heading over to the University. The Johnson's were originally going to come with us, but had a number of things come up. They sold their tickets to the Petersen's so we met up with them before the game started. As we sat down I actually felt bad that there were so many BYU fans there. It can't be all that cool when the visiting team has louder cheering section.

The kids were thrilled to see Noah Hartsock. He seems like a super nice guy and one of the best that the Coug's have got, so Thomas thinks that he's pretty great.

We were also excited to see Brandon Davies.

Can you tell that I placed an order at the BYU bookstore this week?

Thomas and Olivia really enjoyed the experience. It was fun to watch how into the game Thomas was, although he didn't like that a 15 minute half turned into about 60 minutes with all the time outs they took. Olivia was sure to cheer whenever she saw Noah, and after some interest in cheering on the Cougars Zach resorted to playing his DS after he spilled the popcorn. Sam was of course well behaved. He kept trying to sleep, but was startled every time he heard the cheers.

Half Time

We tried for a family photo, but of course Zach was pretty no cooperative.

After being such a good boy throughout the game Sam was pretty much a nightmare on the way home. We had to pull over a number of times to get him out of his seat to calm him down. I began to wonder if we would ever make it. We finally pulled into the driveway just a little before midnight and EVERYONE was sleeping peacefully (apart from me of course. I was driving which you have to do when your husband keeps getting speeding tickets!)
