Sam and I went to support Thomas' team in the final round of Battle of the Books.This would be the deciding match in who would represent the school at the district competition.
Sadly, the team missed out by one point. Some crying followed the blow by one of the team members and the poor boys were left wondering how to console sweet Aubrey. The teams passionate, female team captain had handicapped herself by throwing another boy off the team a few months earlier. That meant that they were the only group with three team members and in the end they just didn't have enough time to read everything. It really was too bad. I always enjoy seeing Thomas compete.
