I am always grateful for the Facebook reminders that I get from English friends about Pancake Day. I always forget about it and am glad that I have 8 hours to get myself sorted out.
The kids still favor the American style pancakes, but I am always sure to make up some of my mum's batter and enjoy it sprinkled with sugar and then soaked in orange juice.
