We spent most of the day at the pool. It was the only way to survive the 100 degree day. Brad, Deidre, and the kids came to join us for the morning too, which we all enjoyed.
David riding the slide
Olivia taking her turn
Hanging in the little kiddie pool
Zach may have been in a little pain?!
Then it was time to clean up and head out to baby John's 1st birthday celebration at a park near Peoria.
Ready to party
John enjoying his cowboy hat cake
Good buddies
Enjoying some cake
Baby John wouldn't stay still!
We made sure to get a family shot at the end of the night.
After the party we left to pack for our 7:00 am flight. I swore that I would never take an early flight again after I spent the morning throwing up last year when we did the same thing, but the prices just keep you coming back.
Grandpa Kent came and met us at the hotel so that I could check in luggage while he and Spense returned the rental car. Thomas got to enjoy an early morning ride in the Corvette with him. It turned out to be a wise decision when we were met with long lines at the Southwest counter. Poor Zach had a tough morning and slept most of the way home. The Pacific Northwest didn't fail to disappoint either greeting us with a chilly, damp morning, which we all kind of enjoyed.

Exaggerate a tad? We didn't even hit 100 until May ;) It was warm though. The weather was beautiful the week before and the week after you came. We seem to always get hot weather whenever we get together. It is like a curse. Doesn't matter which state we are in. It was so fun to see you!
