Swimming and The D Backs

Today we took it kind of easy. Since the weather was warm we called Aunt Deidre to see if we could go by to her apartment complex and swim in their heated pool. Nathan and Amy joined us over there and the kids had a lot of fun. Zach wasn't too sure at first because I think the cool water took his breath away to begin with, but he got really into it and didn't want to get out. Olivia also managed to give us a scare when she climbed out of her fish ring and went under water. She actually did a pretty good job of kicking herself to the surface as we rushed over to grab her. She was a little nervous for a while, but was sticking her feet back in by the time we left.

After swimming we went back to grandma's and the boys drove downtown to meet grandpa Kent at the Diamond Back's opening home game. The little boys (and the big one's too!) were all super excited. Thomas and Spense took their gloves with them in the hope that they might catch a foul or a fly ball! They all had a great time eating hot dogs and cotton candy and of course watching the game. The girls (plus Zach) all ate dinner together and then settled down to Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium complete with movie popcorn. When the boys finally came home much later Thomas, Nate, and Jared were all fast asleep, but Thomas was still clutching to his baseball glove. Spense reported that we definitely have a baseball fan on our hands who was asking questions all night, so they're looking forward to their trip to the Seattle Mariner's in May.

Oh I wish it was warm enough to go swimming here! I can't believe how old your little one is now! Those pics of them on the couch are so cute.

Poor Olivia! She'll be scarred for life - like she is with dogs. That Boo has alot to answer for =) She looked like she was having a good time but I'm sure the photo was taken before the incident.
