Easter Egg Hunting

We went out to the annual easter egg hunt at the high school this morning and in true Washington style it was raining. For each of the 3 years that we have been here it has rained so I guess at least you always know what to expect!

Zach was in the youngest age group who went first. I think that he was a little confused as to what he should be doing at the beginning, but once he understood that there was candy inside those plastic things lying on the field he was all over it! Thomas and Olivia were in the same age group. Parents weren't really supposed to go on the field and help out, but Olivia was a little bit nervous about going anywhere and picking anything up without any parent help so I ran over to her and we dashed around the field collecting eggs left and center. When we opened the eggs, Thomas found that he had a few coupons for free ice creams at Dairy Queen, which everyone was excited about, so a trip is planned for sometime in the near future. We all came home a little wet, but had a fun time.

Waiting for the egg hunt obviously wasn't
so exciting for some of us!

The eggs on the field.
I guess it's not really that much of a hunt,
just who can run and grab the most!

What was actually in her basket
