I really love to dance

Daddy managed to get a smile, but not
a look in the direction of the camera.

Olivia's recital was a couple of weeks ago, but it took Spense a while to get around to doing the video for me so here it is. Please also ignore that he cut her head off at the beginning. He made some excuse for his poor camera work and said he knew he would hear about it when it happened. Hey I know I'm demanding!

Thomas tried to protest at having to go, but when I assured him that the whole thing probably wouldn't last more than 20 minutes he seemed to think that sounded alright. We got dressed and make up on. I was glad that everything fit OK since I was supposed to have tried everything on when we got the costume 2 weeks ago incase Miss Christine needed to make any alterations. I was glad I didn't have to call her with 30 minutes to go. She's a good friend, but I'm not sure that she loves me that much.

The girls all looked super cute and did a great job. When Olivia decided that she really wasn't too into twirling at the beginning of the number I was worried that we would have a 'hokey pokey' flashback, but we were good. She likes to dance, but I'm still not convinced that this is going to be her thing. She really just wants to be a professional soccer player I guess.

'That's fine,' I told her.

"You will just have to be aggressive enough to actually tackle someone and kick the ball to do that."

We're looking forward to the new production in May, but for now here are some photographic samplings from the event.

And for all who wanted to see the event but couldn't, now you can feel a part of it too.

They may really like to dance - but there wasn't much dancing going on from anyone =) Cute costumes though - that is worth getting ready for! xx
