We weren't in a major hurry to get to the park this morning since we woke up to rain. There had been quite the storm last night which had knocked a table and couple of chairs into the pool beneath us. After a good breakfast we headed down to spend the day at California Adventures.
Ready to go inside
(for some reason Zach was already sad!)
The first ride of the day was Toy Story Mania. We had heard a lot of good things about this game which had been added since our last trip, and it didn't disappoint. The kids loved it. Zach also thought it was fun although he didn't enjoy the game in 3-D since he wouldn't keep his glasses on no matter what I tried.

The smaller members of the group then rode the carousel while the big boys went on the California Screamin' roller coaster. Thomas was hesitant about it going upside down at first, but once he got off he couldn't wait for another turn.

We then made our way over to the Bug's Life area for some little rides for Zach and Olivia. I had been quite surprised that Olivia had been so nervous about a lot of the rides yesterday, but she was happy to ride these.

We met us with Mike, Amy, and their kids at lunch.

Then it was time to get going and see some more of the action.

I took Olivia and Zach to see Playhouse Disney, while the boys did some of the bigger rides. We then met up and enjoyed seeing the Muppet's in a 3-D show

After the show we went inside to talk with Crush from Finding Nemo and the kids learned how to draw Pluto. We were lucky enough to run into some of the characters as we went into the atrium.

As we headed out to the parade, Zach finally woke up from his nap. He was a little out of it for a while, but had fun seeing his favorite characters by the end.

and Mater was in the rear.
As the sky started to turn dark and the rain started to fall again we headed out to Paradise Pier for one last time.

The kids decided that they would like to do Toy Story Mania one more time.
This is what happens when you hit your brother
in the head as you wait in line because you
were messing around!
Trying hard to make him smile again
Zach required a lot of holding in line. Once he knew what was going on on each ride he didn't want to wait in line anymore. He just wanted to climb aboard. He was also wearing his Buzz Lightyear shirt for the day and made sure that his jacket was off for this special ride.
The boys went on Screamin' one more time so I did the carousel.

We decided to head back over to Disneyland for something to eat before we left. We ended up being caught in the worst downpour of the day as we did it too. Olivia who was sitting in the stroller was saturated. We were quite the wet bunch as we sat and ate pizza. Not wanting to miss a ride opportunity though, we asked the kids if they would like to do Astroblasters again. Of course they did!
We had another fun, but tiring day and being from these parts the rain didn't faze us too much. We were just glad that it seemed to keep the crowds away.

Oh my what a fun full day! We loved Toy Story Mania. I guess everyone needs a Disney rainy day.
