Today was quite a different day. It was sunny and warm, but the park was really busy. The boys took off a little before us and enjoyed a few rides before we showed up.
Of course we rode astroblasters again. Zach wants to
handle the controls himself now. He got good and
spinning the car. I only rode with him once!
We then made our way over to the Jedi Academy Training. This was our 3rd time over there. We hoped that being front and center this time would finally help the kids to get picked. I was surprised when Olivia said that she wanted to get picked too.
Waiting and hoping
The Jedi Master looked upon us favorably. He picked Olivia first and for a small second I thought, "Oh no, please pick Thomas too," and luckily he did. Hopefully the Darth Vader t-shirt and Mouse ears helped them to stand out!
Getting on their robes
Thomas took it all so seriously. I think that he didn't
want to show his real excitement too much.
Olivia was right in front of me during training. Even though they tried to turn her around to face the front on a number of occasions she preferred to watch what was going on on the stage. I think that really she just didn't want to turn around and face the crowd.

I was unfortunately trying so hard to find Thomas in the crowd that I didn't see him until he was right in front of me fighting Darth Maul and the camera didn't manage to take a picture in time before he was fone. Luckily, Spense managed to catch it all on the video camera.

After our Jedi excitement we headed over to Toon Town. Olivia saw Minnie in her house and so I waited with her so that she could get a picture. She told me that she didn't want me to be in it with her!

While we were waiting to see Minnie, Spenser called to tell me that they had just strolled into Mickey's house to look around and before he realized what was happening they were seeing the main man. Unfortunately, I had our camera! I think that no one realized that he was inside. When I told Olivia she said that she would like a picture with him too so we waited again with a very grouchy dad, while Spense and Thomas rode the small roller coaster.
Mickey and Olivia
After some picture taking it was then off to do some more rides. It was a busy day so we had to do quite a bit of waiting and there were lots of pushy people everywhere it seemed.
Waiting to ride the rockets
Thomas got to ride the rockets alone
Olivia wasn't very happy that she had to ride with Zach
because he got to use the controls.
She asked for another ride later while Zach slept!
Trying to have a picture by the castle. Why do we bother?!
By around 6:30 p.m we were all hungry.
Olivia enjoyed a big slab of chocolate mousse cake
Thomas loved his macaroni and cheese
After dinner we decided that we had finally had enough of all the crowds at Disneyland so we went back over to California Adventures. It was virtually a ghost town when compared to Disneyland. The kids enjoyed running on and off all the empty rides in the Bugs Life area. We also went on Mike and Sully's ride about 3 times in a row before we left.

We finally got around to leaving at just after 10 p.m when the park closed. This was the latest night we managed.

So glad they finally got picked. We thought of nieces and nephews as we watched the show!
