After a sleepless night in the tent for most of the kids, we started to put our things together to leave today. Since our flight wasn't until 9:30 p.m. we decided to make some use of the day and headed out to Scottsdale. The girls in the group left first to wander a few of the stores out there first, while Spense was left to feed everyone else lunch. My camera died at the beginning of our miniature golfing fun so Amy sent me these.
Jared was clearly happy to have his photo taken
Olivia loves her girl cousins. She has someone who relates to her love of Taylor Swift. They will let her have Taylor playing in the car and don't laugh, complain, and tease her about about it.
Zach was really into the golfing
Thomas just hit it as many times as he could.
He gave up keeping score
Sam slept the whole time, even as we
dragged his stroller all over the course.
After some dinner at Chipotle we headed out to the airport. I had to drop off the rental car and it took absolutely FOREVER. I was kind of getting nervous about getting back in time. Noelene dropped me off back over at the airport and I met up with the rest of the crew. Sadly, it was a super full flight, but we did still manage to get Sam a seat. The kids slept most of the way. I was pleased with how well they managed our midnight arrival and drive out to get the car. The dive home seemed to take forever and was slowed down by some fog. We finally pulled in at about 1:30 a.m. We had a fun and much needed break from the weather and Spenser declared it one of the most relaxing vacations he has been on in a while.
