Spense pulled out the camera and showed me the following pictures. I just gasped!

He told me how Zach and Sadie had got into the paints. They had been left out from earlier and Spense thought that they would never be able to unscrew the lids. Thomas had gone upstairs and said that Zach and Sadie were painting the floor and each other! The sad thing is is that they usually don't get along all that well and when they finally were they were in trouble! He threw them in the bath, got clothes in the washing machine, and had our neighbor Kim watch them all while he ran down to the Home Depot to rent a carpet cleaner and all of this happened because he was downstairs making cookies for the older kids at the time! When I asked why he didn't call I remembered that I had left my cell phone in the car. He had also tried Johanna and another friend who was out with us, but no one answered. I felt so bad. The moral of the story is always carry and answer your cell phone and don't assume that kids aren't able to do things!
(There are still a few spots on the carpet, but nothing that a rug won't cover I guess!)

All I can say is WOW. Is this what I have to look forward to?! :)
You didn't say if it came completely out of the carpet. I assume so I have had house paint come out as long as I cleaned it up right away. What a night for Spense.
Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, Spenser! I still feel really bad. I guess the positive thing about this whole mess is that I think Sadie and Zach bonded. :) Thanks again for watching my kids. Let me know ANYTIME when I can return the favor!
Oh Zachy and Sadie! What little monkey's - but cute ones at that! xx
Oh no! I have to say I did enjoy the story- it's nice to know that the kids play up Dads as well as Mums!
I have to admit that I'm surprised he even went to Home Depot to get a carpet cleaner all while you were gone. He must have really wanted it clean for you. Sorry to hear about the carpet stains. :) Sadie and Zach are quite the little two-some--cute as can be though!
