This is Spenser's first blog post attempt, so bear with me.
Last night we here in Western Washington welcomed our new sports team to the area, Seattle Sounders FC, a reincarnation of sorts of top level soccer in Seattle. Being the soccer fan that I am and the fact that Thomas and I attended numerous Columbus Crew games, I thought it would be worthwhile to get some tickets for this season. So I bought a 7 game package and got the opener on top of that, so half the season.
Thomas, Venn, Drake, and I made our way up to the stadium in time for the pre-game festivities and the game. Thomas had a really good time, and was excited to attend a soccer match again.

It was a good game to attend, first, because it was the first game for the team, 33,000 fans were there, and the place was crazy. It really and truly felt like an important game played in Europe (and I have attended a number of those to know what that is like). Second, even though it was an expansion team, they won 3-0 playing a very fun style of soccer/football. It was an electric atmosphere with all the scarves, flags, and banners.

Game ended, we bought a scarf for Thomas, and headed home.
As you can see, Thomas enjoyed the game to exhaustion.

Too bad it came too late for us... Alex LOVES soccer!
It looks like Thomas is up and running again! You guys can call me anytime (even if our time difference is only one hour!), it's nice to feel useful! We are excited to see you this Summer.
PS Spense...did I tell you that Dave finally got released from YM when I talked to you the other day? Dave is sitting here with me feels bad that you have now been in YM longer than him!!!
