Harry Potter Exhibition

After seeing adverts on the TV about the Harry Potter exhibition up at the science center we decided to make a little trip of it today. Our first stop on the trip was University Place so I could spend some of the Pottery Barn gift card that Noelene had given me for Christmas. Somehow she must have known that I really wanted new couch pillows.

We had packed a little picnic and since the weather was so nice we decided to go take it to nearby Gas Works park.

A look into downtown Seattle

For many this may not be the picture of a 'nice' day. For us it was beautiful. The sky was trying to be blue and simply put - it wasn't raining. The large puddles and very wet grass stood as a testimony of what we have endured the past few weeks.

 Running up the hill

Some of the children in our group didn't listen to my constant pleas of 'stay off the grass' They paid for it later with very muddy shoes and dirty clothes.

Enjoying our picnic

Blue skies and water. Two of my favorite things.

We ate pretty quickly since the weather was windy and cold. It was so good to be outside and run around though. Then it was a short drive to the Pacific Science Center for our trip through Hogwarts.

Thomas was super excited to be there. He is reading the last book right now and is loving it. Olivia was there, but not quite as excited. She actually wanted me to just stay home with her. I thought about it, but thought it would be better to be together. She did end up enjoying herself too.

Thomas won a free audio tour for knowing Ron Weasley's middle name. Did you know that it's Bilius? No one else in the group did either!

With their wands at the completion of the tour. We managed to lose Zach along the way. It was fun, but definitely not the 'you really feel like you're in Hogwarts' experience that they had been peddling.
