Finally

The weather around here has been awful this summer so far. We missed the only nice week when we were in Utah it seems (of course!) It has been so bad that we didn't even get to pick strawberries. They cancelled U-Pick for the first time in about 18 years. I have been entertaining the kids with trips to the movies, Chuck E Cheese, the bowling alley, and Charlie's Safari. It has been a little frustrating and depressing to me since that's what I have to do for the rest of the year when it's raining up here. The only thing that keeps us going is that couple of months of summer and we haven't even had that as of yet.

Today we finally had a day that was even close to being warm enough to hit the pool. It was actually only still in the 60's but I was worried that if we didn't go now we might never get the chance. They keep the pool well heated so it was really only when you got out that you felt a little chilly. The kids seemed to have a good time anyway and it was good to be out and active. Hopefully, there will be more pool days to come.
