A few months ago Johanna mentioned that the original ipod had been recalled due to overheating and she said that we should check it out. The next time we were by the Apple store Spense asked about it and Johanna's information really did check out. He got on line and filled out the necessary information and we received a padded envelop to send the old ipod back in exchange for a new smaller one.
It took Spense a little while to actually get the job done. When I asked him what the hang up was he explained that he was having a hard time giving it up. He said it was one of the originals and had been through a lot with him. I got it for him as a Christmas gift. He's run over 3,000 miles with it and drove across the country when we moved from Ohio to Washington. I told him that was nice, but not to be so silly. Today I took a picture for memories sake, put it in it's bag and dropped it off at the Fed Ex store so he wouldn't have to do it. Clearly I'm not half as sentimental as he is!
