In honor of National Dental Month, Spenser volunteered to come into Thomas' class to talk with the kids about dental health. Of course the whole experience meant putting together some bags full of toothpaste, brushes, and floss last night at 1.00 am, but who doesn't love staying up late!
Spense did a great job talking to all the kids. He managed to keep the attention of 50 kindergarteners with all of the fun things he had brought in from the office and his hands on demonstrations. He mainly talked to them about the importance of brushing and flossing and about not being scared to go and see the dentist.

Explaining how the composite in fillings hardensThomas thought it was a lot of fun to have dad in class. I got to be there to take some photos since it was my week to volunteer. The thing that Thomas was most proud about was when he helped pass around some X-Rays of his teeth for everyone to look at and dad was able to report that he had no cavities at his last check up!
