The Cheese Factory

It had rained a little when we woke up, but we were hopeful that the day would brighten up as we drove south a little down to Manzanita. The weather hadn't picked up though, but the wind had. Mum and I stayed in the car with Zach as the others braved it on the beach for a while. The wind had really picked up and Olivia didn't like that one little bit.

We decided that we should probably spend a large portion of the day indoors and so we drove down to Tilamook, to have a look at the cheese factory there. We got to see the cheese being cut and packaged and of course got a few samples. Dad went back and stood in line to get some more a couple of times! We then had lunch and of course got some Tilamook ice cream.

Thomas really wanted to go and see the Umpqua lighthouse and so we drove a little further south to the state park there. We got out and walked around and Thomas got to go up close to the beacon. He thought that it was all very exciting!

Olivia on the other hand didn't think it was quite as fun! We drove home for some much needed down time and and made some dinner.
