Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside

Since it seemed like the start of a better day than yesterday we decided that we would go back to Haystack Rock to see the tide pools there and fly kites. Unfortunately, the tide was in so there really wasn't too much to see on the way of tide pools! We did have better luck flying kites for the most part though. There was quite a bit of wind and Olivia really doesn't like it too much. After much whining and trying to shelter her we finally gave up and Spense took her to the car to wait until we had finished. All was well until the string broke on Thomas' Spiderman kite and it took off over the roof of a nearby beach house. Thinking that Thomas would be devastated I sent dad off to retrieve it and after some searching he returned victorious! We were all so happy that tears had been averted.

After the wind had become too much for all of us, we drove off to nearby Seaside. I wasn't as much of a fan of the area, as it was much busier than Cannon Beach. We watched as people cycled around the town and when Spenser told us that he had never been on a bike like that we went and found the rental place and got pedaling. Riding a bike with at least eight people on it is definitely something that everyone should do in their lifetime!

Mum was somewhat disadvantaged by her small legs and had to pedal twice as fast to keep up and of course we managed to lose Zach's binky and grandpa had to go back and retrieve that from the middle of the road.

Having little legs didn't stop her!

Waiting for dad and Zach to come back

When I time was up we went back to our car and bid the Oregon Coast farewell already talking about where we would like to see on our next trip down here.
