We arrived in Utah safely last night around 8:30 p.m, after an overnight stop in Pendleton, Oregon. The kids did pretty well, although there was quite a bit of whining the last hour or so. To be honest, I was probably the worst. When we got to Twin Falls I couldn't believe that there was still a 150 or so miles to go. My bum was sore and my hopes of buying a Suburban and traveling across the United States seeing lots of exciting places with the family were gone in an instant!
We headed over to Grandma Packer's for some pizza. As we walked through the front door I was half expecting to see her sitting in her little red chair, but she was gone. It felt strange being in the house without her, but it was good to see Amy and her family. Zach wasn't too sure what he thought of all the attention Nathan gave him though.
After a night at the Bitner's we headed out for some Crown Burger and bowling after Devin and Katrina arrived from Provo. Devin loves for us all to go bowling as often as possible. He thinks that he has become somewhat of a pro and likes to show off his skills. He started off a little shaky, but came through in the end.
Gina and Olivia
Gina won 1st place on the 'bumper lane'
Zach spent a lot of time managing the balls.
He only caught his fingers and cried once!
Dusty came and hung out with us for a while too
before he went to practice a musical number for the funeral
Dad and Olivia
These two had a fun time.
Olivia is always happy in the bowling alley
Zach bowled about twice and then focused his
attention on ball management and arcade games

He especially liked this gun
In the afternoon we couldn't resist a trip to see the Chipman's. We miss our Ohio days with them and it is always good to catch up. It was nice for me to be able to see them in their new home.
It's so fun to see Thomas and Lane together. It amazes me how much they still love seeing each other. Even though Thomas is at the age where most girls are yucky, Lane still seems to be cool.

Thomas was excited with the Crew hat Corey gave to him
Our professional photographer Spenser set us this
less than ideal shot!
After a couple of hours with the Chipper's we headed back to Kaysville. Spenser went over to Grandma's viewing and the rest of us stayed home. When everyone came back we headed back over to Grandma Packers. Noelene had us look around the house and write down of there was anything that we wanted. It felt a little weird, but I know that Grandma would want us to make good use of her things. We chatted for far to long, and got back to Annette's far too late. Hopefully we will make it to the funeral by 10.30 a.m. tomorrow.
