For part of our week off we decided to head out and spend a few days at Silverwood. The weather was wonderful and we had a lot of fun together.
I always think Olivia is dead when she does this, but she just won't stop.
No. Very much alive!
After a morning at the pool we headed over to the rides for the evening.
Olivia was happy to hang out with Zach in the smaller kid area, while Thomas and Spenser went off and rode the coasters. I am so glad that she is still happy to be with Zach. It makes my life much easier.
Here they are in the 3rd car back. You can't see Zach!
We did manage to damage Zach on this trip - maybe for life. Spenser convinced him that he should ride Timber Terror. I thought it was a bad idea since he is still so small and those old wooden coasters tend to throw you around a bit. When he came off he was absolutely traumatized!
He also managed to wander off at the water park and lose us. I had been sitting with a sleeping Sam while the boys played over with Spenser. When I went over to find them Olivia cut her foot and needed a band aid, so Spense took her to the medical station. I hadn't seen Zach or Thomas in a while, but when Thomas showed up without Zach we started hunting for him. Luckily, we found him a few minutes later on the sidewalk surrounded by a bunch of adults asking him his name. He hadn't known to look for me and when he didn't see Spenser he had gone back to our spot to look for me. When I wasn't there he came back and said that he wouldn't tell anyone his name because they were strangers. Oh Zach!
He loves his big brother
Olivia was sad to be leaving the park for the day
She cheered up when she realized we were coming back tomorrow!
The next day Spense thought it would be fun to ride the rides first and then go over to the water. I thought it was a bad idea, but went along with it anyway. After an hour or so of sweating and having to stand in the shade we went and got wet.
Olivia was super stressed out riding the cars. She could barely reach the peddle and had struggled to get around by herself!
Back in the water
An elephant ear treat for some needed sugar
One tired, but wonderfully behaved baby
The next morning we swam in the hotel pool after breakfast because we just hadn't done enough of that the last couple of days.
We drove into Coeur d Alene and played on the park for a while before heading to lunch. Spense wanted to take a boat trip on the lake, but none of the rest of the crew did so we crushed his dreams of doing something other than going to Silverwood when we come out this way.
We were lucky enough to spot a Cafe Rio to have lunch at. It really hit the spot and always brings back memories of a first date a pair of college kids had many years ago. We then settled down in the car and hit the road home.

Glad to see you admit that that counts as a date!
