This weekend we headed down to Portland to look at dental chairs and cabinets with the Petersons and all of our kids. You would never think it, but apparently dental equipment is fun. The kids loved playing in the operatories and soon discovered that a couple of them had running water in the hand pieces. That caused a little bit of a mess, but the kids tried hard to clean it up with the air!

As well as all the fun they had with the equipment I think the next best part was all of the available candy and fizzy drinks on tap. I know the shame of it all. Dental suppliers giving this kind of junk to our kids!
After a late breakfast this morning we split up from the Peterson's while they went to the mall. I knew that my kids would hate that on a sunny day and Thomas and Olivia had their hearts set on going to the zoo. We all had a fun time. We couldn't of course leave without first playing at the park and then heading over to Elephant's Deli. Now back to Washington!

That place does look fun! My dentist has one of those intraoral cameras. It is really cool!
