Nisqually Wildlife Reserve

The weather wasn't all that hot today, but it was a nice day for a walk. We've lived in these parts for over 4 years now and have had a few people tell us how nice the Nisqually Wildlife Reserve is that's just a short drive from us, so we decided to check it out. As usual the kids weren't keen on the idea, but ended up having a good time.

They grumbled at having to have their picture taken, but I they did it after I told them that one day they would grow up and leave me and I would need something to remember them by.

little legs. I don't know what to do with her!

Towards the end of the trail we heard some loud banging and saw another woodpecker much closer up this time. We didn't get to see a whole lot of wildlife, but had a nice afternoon together. Maybe we were just a little too loud and scared away all the animals.

We ended the day with an early dinner at Panera (you can never go wrong with that) and then had a few new families from church over for some post 4th July desert. Tomorrow it's back to work for Spenser!
