The World Cup is finally won and all of that soccer talk will finally calm down in our household. One positive thing though is that Thomas has become really interested in geography, and has been googling away on the computer finding all kinds of maps to different countries and listening to their national anthems.
After the Germans knocked England out we all kind of hoped that they would go all the way. Once they were out though, we were really rooting for the Dutch. Unfortunately, none of our teams could get the job done.
Thomas decided that since the world cup was over, we should have a family world cup. He quickly went upstairs and whipped up his own world cup and then we were divided into teams. It was decided that Thomas and I would play against Spense. It went pretty well for us at first and it was a close game, but embarrassingly enough that extra player advantage didn't help us out any. Well done Spense. You had some fancy footwork going on there!
