Today was the first of a couple of running events that Spenser has this summer. Instead of staying up in Seattle this year he decided to just drive up this morning. Since Seattle traffic is so unpredictable and he wasn't sure how long it would take him to get to the starting line he left around 3:00 a.m! I was sure to be there to snap a shot before he left for blogging documentation. It ended up that he could have left an hour or so later, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Spense called at the end of the to tell me that he was happy with his time. He wanted a 1:45, but hoped that he might be able to do it in 1:42. He managed to beat that and ended in 1:40:14. I was so happy because he had worked so hard.
