We love to head down to the Lakefair parade each year and were planning on meeting the Reeds downtown yesterday, but Spenser's brother Brad flew in last night with his family and there was cleaning to be done.
We enjoyed a few hours with them after church today over a little dinner. David enjoyed playing outside and Thomas and Olivia showed uncle Brad how you really play Mario Kart. Everyone thought that baby William was pretty cool. Zach constantly tried to sit on him as he said "baby". Olivia lay beside him and talked with him (which is far more attention than she ever gave to her own younger brother) and in true Thomas fashion he sang to David and tried to find toys for him whenever he fussed a little.
After Brad and Deidre left for Blaine, Johanna called and asked if we wanted to join them for the Lakefair fireworks downtown. Our little neighbor Ryan got wind of our plans though and was so upset that his mom wouldn't take him that we said we would. We just love to cause family contention!
The State Capitol always looks so beautiful at night
The crazy boys took their light up toys
from zoolights so they could have fun in the dark
Zach was what you might call a little apprehensive,
but was OK as long as he was snuggled close
Olivia as usual assumed the fingers in the
ears position
The Johnson's kids loved it too!
The fireworks were fun. We did have a little of an obstructed view which we'll have to try and remedy next year. We didn't hang out for long though since the mosquitos were out in full force and I forgot to pack the OFF.

That picture is of us is classic! The funny thing is that Sadie litterally asks for fireworks everyday...I guess we better bring earplugs for the disneyland fireworks or our arms are going to be really tired!
