Our home for the next few days
Some people thought that they would be ready to get up at the crack of dawn to drive out to Cle Elum and start the family reunion today. I knew that we had lots to get done before we left and so I was expecting us to leave around lunch time. Weddings are pretty tiring events. We arrived up at Ensign Ranch around 1.30 p.m. and everyone else had already gone to the cabin to get situated. We knew that if we went there we would probably never leave, so we got horse riding sorted out for everyone and the kids and I got changed to go on the slip and slide. It ended up taking about an hour for us to sort everything out, and by that time everyone who was planning on joining us did.
Spense, Kent, Clay, and Jorden went out on the horses, while the rest of us went down to the slip and slide. We had only been sliding down there a short time when it started to rain. At first it just looked like it was going to be a passing rain cloud, but then it got heavier and heavier, and then the lightning started. At this point they decided to shut the ride down. We walked out to the horses and everyone else got themselves booked in for Monday morning instead, and then we headed to the cabin.
The cabin was really nice with lots of room for everyone. There was a billiards table downstairs and that entertained the kids for most of the evening. I helped Amy to make dinner and after some clean up and baths we got in the hot tub and chatted into the evening.

The only reason we got there before you was because we were already packed! And we are very grateful you got everything at the ranch taken care of. :)
