Day out at the Zoo

Today I had to choose between my children. It was hard. Both Thomas and Olivia had things going on at school. Thomas had a trip to the zoo and it was Olivia's preschool picnic. I secretly hoped that Olivia would just want to come to the zoo with us, but it was her last day and so of course that needed to be celebrated too. We decided that it would be easier for me to go to the zoo with Thomas, and Spenser blocked some time out of his schedule to be with Olivia.

I even managed to have everyone dressed and ready on time this morning, and it really gave me some hope for the upcoming school year. Maybe I will be able to have Olivia at school on time if she has morning kindergarten!

Zach and I met the bus up at the zoo and then spent the rest of the day with Thomas, Dagm, and his mom. Zach was really interested in the animals. I wish that I could report that he had been interested in being a good boy too. No such luck there I'm afraid.

After lunch there was a little more time to look around and then it was back to the bus. I had thought that Thomas was going to come back in the car with us, but it turns out that he's growing up and wanted to ride the bus so he could chat with Dagm. Oh, the sadness of it all! I was so glad that I was able to enjoy this trip with the 2 boys though. Thanks for wanting me to come Thomas.

It seems like it doesn't take long before they don't ask you to come anymore. I'm glad you had a great day.
