Rock n' Roll

Today Spenser ran in Seattle's Rock n' Roll half marathon. I never tell him, but I really am proud of all those early morning runs that he's done to get in shape for it. He left with Ryan last night to check in. I would have loved to have made it up there too, but didn't think I would be able to make it into downtown Seattle by 8:30 a.m. to see him finish.

He was pleased with his 1:43:41 time, but wished that he hadn't run the first 8 miles so fast. He was pretty much out of gas after that. I'm glad that he finished injury free. Last time he tried to run a half marathon he ended up with a bad knee.

Well done Spense. I know that you're already planning on that marathon (although I'd be happy for you to stay at 13.1 miles)
