Tonight we had our last soccer game of the season, and the weather couldn't have been better. It had rained for most of the day and as we drove out it just got harder and harder. There were also a couple of flashes of lightning. We were certain that the game would be cancelled, but we're in a hard core league! A lot of kids were missing, but they played on. I thought that Thomas and Olivia would complain about being drenched, but they loved it. Luckily, it wasn't too cold so I think that really helped. Zach and I hung out in the car with the help of the DVD player. Obviously we were the smart ones. After tonight I just feel fortunate that we have had some great fall weather so far. Thank you rain for holding off for as long as you did.

After we got home and dried off Connor and Sadie came over. Since Ryan and Johanna planned on watching a late movie and we had their PJ's anyway we managed to convince them to leave the kids for the night after much texting back and forth. They did great and our kids had a lot of fun. Before the night was over they were already asking to schedule the next sleep over. Thanks for staying!

Thanks for giving us a night out! You need to plan one soon...the kids have been asking to have yours sleep over. We're so lucky to have friends that my kids love and are so comfortable with...especially without family close. Thanks again!!!
