We did manage to play some games together
The girls don't have quite as much to show for their weekend alone as the boys it would seem. We were just here experiencing life as it really is. You know keeping up with our usual daily activities. On Thursday, Olivia had her friend Sammie over to play and then Johanna invited us over to their house for lunch. It was fun to chat and let the kids play. Then it was off to Panera for some dinner. Olivia's food preferences are limited so we had very few establishments to choose from.
Friday meant preschool and I had all sorts of plans to work out during my 3 hours alone. Somehow the time just flew by with the errands I needed to run and so of course the gym never happened. We then had a birthday party to go too in the late afternoon and during that time I did manage to sneak in a quick walk. I even had to run part of the backside of my walk and for those of you who know me I hate it run. It just doesn't seem to agree with me. Sadly, I wish that it did so that I could be a running buddy too! After my quick workout and change it was back to the birthday party and then on to soccer. It was a chilly night, but I enjoyed being able to sit and watch Olivia and see her kind friends pass the ball to her so she could score a few goals. She is too timid to ever go after the ball herself. We then enjoyed some dinner at Panda Express and a bedtime showing of the Muppets Wizard of Oz complete with popcorn.
On Saturday, Olivia had a practice for the primary program at church so I took the chance to go down to the market. I really should have worked out I guess. It just shows how important losing that weight really is to me. I love to go down to the market. I love the fresh produce and the music. It makes me feel really local I guess. In the afternoon we made our way up to the Supermall. We did a little shopping and Olivia requested a denim jacket so that she could have one like mom. It was nice to know that she notices! We stopped for a little pretzel and some Wendy's on the way home. Like I said, our choices are limited. I then got to sleep with my little buddy for one last night. I don't like to be in the house alone very well. Usually Thomas sleeps with me when Spense is away, but he was gone too so I had to have my little Boo. She likes to snuggle really close and gets kind of sweaty - just like her dad so that was a good substitute I had.
It was fun to spend time together. She is a pretty easy girl, who is happy to entertain herself. I think that she realized that since she was alone she could be a little more demanding! Thanks for a fun time Olivia.
