Saturday Soccer

Ever since we signed Olivia up for soccer Thomas has been begging for us to find him a team to play on. Spenser asked at both of our local soccer teams, but their seasons had already begun so we ended up at the YMCA. They had had just a couple of practices, so we turned up this morning for the first game with a team that we had never met. Thomas did a great job and looked pretty good out there. I think that he will be a good addition to the team. One of the parents on the team commented that it looked like Thomas really knew how to play soccer.

him and the lesson that he's teaching these kids. 

Spenser and Olivia left part way through Thomas' game to head over to Olivia's. As soon as Thomas' game was through that's where we went too. It was a beautiful day to be outside. The Bengal Tigers looked in good shape. Unfortunately, Olivia was more interested at looking at her shadow on the field than concentrating on what was happening with the ball. Hopefully she'll get there.

We stayed and played on the part for a while and then headed home for lunch planning how we were best going to take advantage of the nice day. We know that there aren't too many days like this left. 

We started off down at the Valley where they had a family fun day. It was a shame that it was inside, but the kids loved jumping around on the inflatables. We also got to play a little tennis and eat snow cones. You can't go wrong with that.

After our afternoon of jumping around the weather was still too beautiful to go back inside so we drove out to Lattin's to Applefest.

No trip to Lattin's would be complete without apple fritters. We had to enjoy them in the car though because the sweet smell of those fritters was too much for the bees.
