Zions's Camp and Pasta Dash

As we drove out to Port Townsend yesterday Spense and I talked about how it would be fun to maybe just go out to Zion's Camp for a day trip, so today we packed a lunch and paid our $10 day use fee and the kids had a fun afternoon.

They enjoyed playing on the playground

Cute brothers

Swinging in the barrel

Climbing up to the treehouse

We had a go on the obstacle course

Everyone tried...

...but no one made it across

We went canoeing on the lake

Zach was really good at helping out

Thomas was interested in a bit of archery after scout camp

Olivia thought it was hard and didn't like
that it hurt her finger when she fired the arrow

Zach jumped for joy when the arrow flew

Retrieving their arrows

We then drove home, grabbed a few snacks, got changed, and went down to the 'Pasta Dash.' Thomas had originally planned on running the 5K with Spenser, but when he hurt his ankle their training program was put on hold so he just entered the kids race this year.

Ready to run

At the starting line

Thomas probably finished in the top 10
Connor was right behind him

Spense was with Zach and was surprised at how well he ran. He said that he barely stopped at all.

Miss rosy cheeks!

Grabbing some water after a job well done

Mason, Thomas, Connor, and Olivia
