The End of The Jedi Fireball Season

The season has finally come to an end. The Jedi Fireballs have played their last game. We are seriously hoping that next year we don't have to have another name like that one! While we were in England they chose a team name and there was a tie between the Jedi's and Fireballs. Since Thomas was missing to cast the deciding vote they went with both. I sure know that Spenser will be happy not having to tell the other team their name for the cheer at the end of the game anymore!

Thomas had a good game. At his first at bat he hit a great ball, but unfortunately he hit it straight to the 1st baseman. He was a little bummed about that, but he came out at his next at bat and did a great job. Fielding as usual wasn't his strong point. He tries so hard to stay focused, but he would much rather jump around and kick up the dirt. He missed one ball which made coach dad a little frustrated, but all in all it was a good game. Although it will be nice to have our Monday, Wednesday, and some Saturday's back we sure will miss the time that we've spent at the fields. It has been fun to see this little riff raff team really grow this year. They have become much better hitters and have a much better understanding of what's happening on the field now. Here's to next year!

Since he knew that he was already out he didn't even bother to run all the way to the base. He did get a little talking to about this because I told him that you could never be sure if the ball might be dropped or something else could happen and so I told him that he should always run as fast as his little legs can carry him!
