There are a couple of things that Thomas has said that he would like to do before summer ends next week. One of them is the zoo and the other is NorthWest Trek. Since the sun had finally decided to come out today I decided that we would take care of one of those wishes and head up to the Zoo for one last time this season. Since Thomas and Olivia had spent the night next door at Ryan's, I decided that I should probably ask him to come along too. Getting everyone in the car is always a very frustrating process for me and I wasn't at my best this morning. I snapped a few too many times at having to run back inside for things and set up the dang DVD player. I told Spenser that I would love to have one installed at his earliest convenience! We finally left the comfort of our garage and made the drive up to Seattle.
The maps came out as soon as we arrived

There were a bunch of crows around when we stopped for lunch. Olivia clearly remembered one of them taking off with a bagel that she dropped so she was extremely cautious. Both Thomas and Ryan were being a little wussy too. Of course Zach didn't care one bit about the birds and just ran after them when they got too close.

Although her face doesn't show her true feelings (as is usually the case) she did have fun on the carousel. She especially loved being able to look at herself in the mirror when we went by.
We saw the bears
The kids thought that the river otters were cute and
fun to watch too. We spent a long time with them.
The kids loved climbing on the rocks. I figured that I may as well have saved my time and money and just taken them somewhere where they could climb around.
Fun kids
They insisted on having their picture taken on every

All in all we had a pretty fun day and the weather was perfect. I was definitely ready to pack up and leave by the end of the day though, and Zach was definitely ready for a nap. I felt well worn out as I carried Zach on my shoulders and pushed the stroller laden with bags and Olivia through the parking lot after we had purchased treats for the journey home. Zach slept most of the way and the traffic was much better than I expected so it was a great end to a nice day together.

Yeah for Olivia wanting her picture taken. David seem to play with cars no matter where I take him...he can just do that at home too!
