Today was the start of "Apple Fest" at Lattins and because it was such a beautiful day we decided that we would take Josh and Hayley out to sample some of the wonders that our local cider mill has to offer. After we arrived, the first order of the day was to buy apple fritters. We tried to find a nice spot to sit and enjoy them, but there were wasps everywhere. Unfortunately, Hayley was worse than all of the kids put together and Josh told her off for being a bad example!

We then took the kids to feed the animals and as always Olivia had no fear at all, Hayley was a different story though. She was a bit worried about how much she would be able to feel the animals teeth, but after we coaxed her into taking a turn she quite enjoyed joining in with the kids! Zach loved seeing all of the animals and was especially excited by the ducks. He has recently learned to "quack, quack" and so he thought that it was pretty fun to hear them doing it back at him. We of course couldn't leave without riding the covered wagon out to the pumpkin patch and back. The kids had so much fun they begged to go around again. Before we left I had to go and buy some apples with the intent of making an apple crumble for Sunday dinner. We'll see how that turns out!
