Lightsabers

Tonight the same thing that happens on most nice evenings happened - neighborhood kids in our backyard! This has always been something that we've wanted, that is having Thomas and Olivia's friends feel like they want to be in our home. It just get's hard sometimes when you feel like you're the neighborhood babysitters, but I guess that we shouldn't wish for what we don't really want, right?!
Star Wars is the new order of things in our home and the kids have quite the collection of lightsabers. There is just the basic lightsaber with no lights or noise, the spring loaded lightsaber, and the new lightsaber that changes from green to red depending on whether or not you feel like being a jedi knight or turning over the dark side. They love to take swings at one another and there have been a few tears shed, but for the most part they have a great time. Today was even more special for them when Spenser took a lightsaber in his hand and they all tried to bring him down. He did later put on a black cape, but there is no photographic evidence of this. He said that he does have some pride left!
