Today was the day that Thomas has dreaded all summer long. It is also the day that I have been looking forward to for about the past week. I am excited to get back on a schedule and for Thomas to want to do something other than play Star Wars Lego! He got up much better than I expected and got the donuts that he had requested for breakfast. A breakfast of champions I know, but I hope by now that you know me well enough to realize that I am far from the winner of the mother of the year award! We then took pictures before we left and Zach was really the only one that was unhappy to get into the car since he hates his car seat.
I drove him to school and walked him to his classroom. Our neighbor Brad took him inside since I had the other two in the car. As we walked I asked him if he was OK and he said, "I'm not scared mom!" Brad said that he was anything but. He knew exactly where to go and exactly what to do. We got to meet his teacher Mrs Stone at the ice cream social last night. We dropped in supplies and found where he hangs his bag and jacket and his little cubby. He was super serious when she was talking to him, but I'm sure he'll soon warm up. We hear that she's a great teacher so we're excited about the year (almost as much as Thomas I'm sure).
The day was definitely different without him. Olivia I think felt a little liberated since she could watch what she wanted on TV without Thomas moaning at her choice. I was surprised however, that she didn't play with his Star Wars figures while she had the chance. I guess that she only likes to do that when she knows it will start a fight! When he got off the bus he reported a good day, but a pretty strict teacher. Just what we want!

Must we have matching clothes?..it's Jennifer all over again! xx
I love Mrs. Stone--both Tessa and Jesikah had her. I'm sure he will have a great year! He looks very happy in the pictures.
You have had so many fun activities lately, I bet you are ready to get settled into a routine.
Nad, he looks so grown up getting off the bus!! Looks like you've had lots of sunshine over there - send some to us please!
