Today I was lying on the floor playing with Olivia and we were talking about her being a big girl now. She quickly told me that she didn't want to be big girl. She still wanted to be a little girl. She then said, "I want to be a baby. I want to go back inside your tummy!" I told her that that wasn't really an option since she was just too big now. She thought for a little while and then said, "I want Zachy to go back inside your tummy!" I told her that there was just no way that was going to happen.(The pain of Zach's birth is still too fresh 10 months later!) So she decided that she wanted Zach to go inside her tummy instead. Seizing this teaching moment I told her that she really should wait until she is a much bigger girl like mommy. Thomas who had been listening to all this said, "Yeah, and you need a daddy!" At least one of them seems to get it!
As I was looking for a photo to put with this post I came across some of Olivia as a little girl and if I had been that cute I might want to go back!
